In 1996 one of Apex's first jobs was placing 100 tons of rebar at the Tulalip Waste Water Treatment Plant. Public and private reinforcing steel projects sustained Apex during the first years of operation.

In 1999 Apex dedicated resources to enter the structural steel erection market and has performed $50 million dollars worth of structural steel erection projects since that time.

In 2008 Apex Tower Crane was incorporated to perform tower crane, hoist and manlift work in the Pacific Northwest market.
